Please introduce yourself

Hello I am an LMSW working in Bronx, NY. I currently recieve no supervision and as the only Social Worker on staff I feel I need to network and meet with other social workers to build on my resources and keep up with the upto date info.

Are you a student, new Social Worker, or more seasoned?

I graduated from SUNY Stony Brook in 2005 I've worked in the substance abuse field from 2001 to 2008, in outpatient mental health facilities providing verbal therapy to children, adults and families 2006-2009 & presently doing mostly case management.

In what field of Social Work are you currently employed or looking to work for?

I am currently working in Columbus Center for Medical Rehabilitation (CORF) working majorily with people 17+ with short or long term dissabilities/injuries. We also have a big geriatric population in our facility.

What would you like to get out of this group?

I would like to build up my resources, network with social workers in all fields to broaden my knowledge of the different programs available in NY.
